Rosa (soprano) et Bianca (mezzo-soprano) sont deux princesses jumelles aux caractères diamétralement opposés.

Quand Rosa court, crie et trompette, Bianca rêve, lit et soupire.

Quand Bianca salue la foule d’une geste gracieux, Rosa la harangue d’un ton impétueux.

Mais le jour de leur dix-huitième anniversaire, le Grand Chambellan du Royaume (comédien/pianiste) doit annoncer qui de Rosa ou de Bianca montera sur le trône et deviendra la reine. Au cours d’une série d’épreuves, elles s’affronteront, se disputeront, avant de réaliser que bien souvent, c’est l’union qui fait la force …

A travers une réécriture en français d’airs de Donizetti principalement tirés de Maria Stuarda, Roberto Devereux, La Fille du régiment, Don Gregorio, l’Assedio di Calais (entre autres), la metteure en scène Sybille Wilson et la scénographe Aurélie Thomas entraîneront toute la famille à la suitede Rosa et Bianca, pour cinquante minutes d’émotions, de pianoforte et de bel canto.
