A seasonal interlude in the well-ordered life of the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Electron's Late Night is a resolutely electronic affair, with artistic sessions on every floor to thrill your legs, your hearts and your senses.
To shake up your preconceptions of Geneva's Grand Théâtre and immerse yourself in electronic culture with a capital C, Electron is offering a two-part event. First of all, we welcome one of the pundits of Techno, the genre's founder and most eminent exponent, Jeff Mills, who will make a foray into jazz by presenting his "Tomorrow Comes The Harvest" project in the Théâtre, accompanied by the brilliant flautist Rasheeda Ali and seasoned keyboardist Jean-Phi Dary.
The Detroit scene will also be in the spotlight in the Atrium, the setting for Late Night proper, which will vibrate to the sounds of a true Motor City legend, Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale, better known as the "Godmother of House". She'll be sharing the desk with Lea Lisa from Lausanne, inveterate digger and spiritual daughter of Kerri Chandler.
In the exquisite Bar Bleu, you'll hear the modular sounds of the highly inspired ADSR collective from Geneva, a benchmark for the genre in French-speaking Switzerland, who will be there in force to make you groove to the rhythms of eight artists who will be keen to pass on the virus of synthesis.
